Treatment with SHAPERs should generally begin between the ages of 5 and 10, depending on the patient's dental development.
The ideal time to begin treatment begins with the early deciduous/mixed dentition, when the first permanent incisor or molar erupts, and continues until the second permanent molar begins to erupt. This is the best opportunity to fully promote jaw development and guide proper tooth eruption.

The treatment begins with the delivery of the Biteshape kit, consisting of a Shaper in its container, an hourglass that helps the child brush their teeth for the right amount of time, a travel toothbrush, and a retractor for taking intraoral photos for remote monitoring.
The child creates a daily routine
Children who begin treatment with Biteshape easily establish a daily routine that keeps them accountable and motivated.
Every evening, after eating, they brush their teeth and put on the Shaper.
It is only used at night
SHAPERs are generally worn at night (from 8:00 PM until the next morning) while sleeping. In some cases, additional use for a few hours during the day is recommended for a limited period.
